PCB Tools for Design, DFM, and Manufacturing
Move from PCB design to manufacturing with greater confidence. AdvancedPCB offers PCB tools to help engineers design circuit boards, evaluate manufacturability, calculate trace requirements and get PCB pricing.
Whether you are starting a new PCB layout, preparing manufacturing files or getting ready to place an order, these tools can help simplify the process and identify potential issues earlier.
Tools to Get You Started
PCB Tools for Every Stage of Your Design
The right PCB tools can help engineers identify potential problems before a design reaches manufacturing. AdvancedPCB provides resources for several important stages of PCB development, from initial layout and electrical design through DFM review, quoting and fabrication.
1. Design Your PCB
Start with PCB Artist to create schematics and PCB layouts, establish design rules and prepare your design for anufacturing. PCB Artist includes integrated schematic and PCB functionality, design rule checking and a library of more than 500,000 components.
2. Check Your Design
Before submitting a standard PCB design for fabrication, use FreeDFM to review your manufacturing files. FreeDFM checks actual fabrication data for common issues involving trace width and spacing, drill features, annular rings, layer geometry, solder mask and file completeness.
For HDI, microvia, sequential lamination, blind and buried via, controlled impedance, RF and other advanced designs, work directly with AdvancedPCB engineering for a detailed DFM review.
3. Calculate Trace Requirements
PCB trace dimensions affect current-carrying capacity and thermal performance. Use the Trace Width Calculator as a design resource when evaluating trace width, copper weight, current and allowable temperature rise.
Quote Your PCB
Once your design is ready, move directly from design preparation to pricing. Our online quoting tool allows you to enter your PCB specifications, evaluate manufacturing options and get pricing for your project.
From PCB Design to Manufacturing
AdvancedPCB's PCB tools are designed to make it easier to move from an initial circuit board concept to manufacturable hardware.
DESIGN → CALCULATE → CHECK → QUOTE → BUILD
Use PCB Artist to develop your design, calculate trace requirements, check standard fabrication files with FreeDFM and request a PCB quote when you are ready to manufacture.
For more complex PCB technologies, our engineering team can provide additional DFM support to help evaluate materials, stackups, via structures, controlled impedance and other manufacturing requirements.
