AdvancedPCB Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

Independent third-party assessment validates AdvancedPCB's protection of Controlled Unclassified Information for aerospace and defense customers

AdvancedPCB, a U.S.-based manufacturer of printed circuit boards, today announced that it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 status, following an assessment by Ignyte Assurance Platform, an authorized CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization. This achievement reinforces the company’s strong commitment to meeting the evolving cybersecurity expectations of the defense industrial base.

AdvancedPCB joins an early group of PCB manufacturers that have achieved CMMC Level 2 certification.

The independent assessment verifies that AdvancedPCB has met the 110 security requirements of NIST SP 800-171 Revision 2 for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). This includes sensitive information associated with customers’ defense programs.

In July 2026, the planned Phase II rollout of CMMC, which would have made third-party Level 2 certification mandatory for applicable contracts, was temporarily suspended. AdvancedPCB chose to complete its assessment despite the delay.

"Our aerospace and defense customers trust us with CUI data for programs that support national security," said Greg Halvorson, CEO of AdvancedPCB. "When the mandatory requirement was paused, we still felt CMMC certification should be completed. Protecting CUI data is an important aspect of the work we do every day."

Preparation included a review of how controlled information is received, accessed, stored and shared, along with employee training and documentation of cybersecurity procedures. The certification is valid for three years, subject to required annual affirmations and continued compliance.

"We congratulate AdvancedPCB on achieving CMMC Level 2 certification," said Max Aulakh, Managing Director of Ignyte Assurance Platform. "A Level 2 assessment requires thorough preparation and a security program that holds up under independent review. Our assessment verified that AdvancedPCB’s systems and processes within the assessed scope met the applicable requirements for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information.”
